Our Story
Compton Health Bar offers herbal remedies that are rooted in ancestral healing traditions. Tapping into the wisdom of generations of family healers and curanderismo practitioners, dani solorio founded Compton Health Bar to make holistic health more accessible to the BIPOC.
We've been around since 2012 and a majority of our herbal remedies are rooted in ancestral healing wisdom and utilize organic ingredients sourced locally and from around the world.
We continue to offer free one-on-one health consultations virtually, provide custom remedies, handmade herbal blends, and energy work based on our Mexican Traditional Medicine practices that include limpias and other healing techniques.
Compton Health Bar has been featured in Telemundo’s hit show Acceso Total and has been part of a short documentary by BESE, Destination LA by CBS, SoCal Wanderer by PBS, along with dozens of write ups in Found/LA, Los Angeles Business Journal, Voyage LA, LatinX, and other publications.

Our Founder
Continuing the family tradition of healing with Earth's medicine, dani solorio (they/them) is a renowned herbalist and the founder of Compton Health Bar, a holistic wellness space in Compton, California on Tongva land. They are also the residential herbalist for Telemundo’s Acceso Total.
Driven by their mission to make holistic wellness accessible to BIPOC, dani aims to assist people in reconnecting to ancestral healing practices, themselves, and the land through herbal remedies.
dani was born in Zacápu, Michoacán, Mexico and arrived in the United States at age six. Their experience of growing up within the undocumented community influenced the direction they went it and contributed to the inspiration to found CHB. Starting out with a small video store at the indoor swap meet, their entrepreneurial journey eventually led to their true passion of community herbal medicine, the little booth that eventually became Compton Health Bar was born in 2012 at the same indoor swap meet. Since then, Compton Health Bar has been nourishing BIPOC in underserved communities and beyond, and celebrating traditional herbalism and ancestral healing practices.
